As the initial shock of Lewis Hamilton joining Ferrari dies down (a bit), the focus now, rightfully, shifts to soon-to-depart Carlos Sainz.

The Spaniard has been with the Italian Formula 1 team since 2021, but there was always a lingering sense that he was not in their long-term plans. Despite winning two races during this time and securing podium finishes, it wasn't enough for the Scuderia to look upon him favourably.
