Giniel de Villiers is no stranger to the Dakar Rally, but few will know that the South African has finished every race he's entered since his debut in 2003.

After the 2024 race, De Villiers reached the race's end for a record 21 times, breaking Japan's Yoshimasa Sugawara's longstanding record of 20 consecutive finishes between 1989 and 2009, which he matched in 2023.
