There are some non-negotiables when you climb into a luxury SUV like the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. The seat must be comfortable, and it should feel as if everything – from the gear shift lever to the indicator paddle – was designed with you in mind. So far, so good.

The stitching of the Pajero Sport’s leather steering wheel feels good under my hands, and the big touch screen is sunk into the control panel – it doesn’t look like it was slapped on later.
