Three people have died after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a bus on the N2 near Jeffrey's Bay yesterday, Friday, April 29.

At approximately noon, police were summoned to an accident on the N2 where a bus transporting 23 passengers and a BMW sedan were involved in a head-on collision.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, said that all three occupants of the BMW were declared dead at the scene.

"One bus occupant was taken to hospital for medical attention and others were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Police are currently tracing the family of the victim in hospital," Nkohli said.

Three cases of culpable homicide are being investigated.

"Circumstances relating to the incident will form part of the culpable homicide investigation.
