Nissan and First National Bank's vehicle finance arm WesBank have launched a digital tool to give customers feedback on financing safely, quickly and efficiently.
The Japanese company says they're the first carmaker to offer the service in South Africa and says it uses algorithms built into the tool provides immediate confirmation of approval or declined status while allowing the customer the flexibility to structure their deal using balloon payments or deposits.
Gone are the days of filling out numerous forms at a car dealership, Nissan and WesBank says the process is seamless, convenient and quick.
Once the customer receives an approval, a reference number is issued with the full downloadable pdf. deal structure for the customer to utilise at their dealer once they are ready to purchase.
This type of service is particularly useful as the country moves to Level 2 of the government-implemented lockdown restrictions due to the coronavirus.
Customers can apply for finance for Nissan vehicles from the comfort of their own home.

Dane Reddy, Wesbanks' head of digital echoed Moodley's sentiments and said: "When developing this platform, our goal was to make the online journey of applying for vehicle finance a stress-free conversation, not an interrogation, for our customers - simple as that. We ask the applicants to tell us a bit about themselves and the car they are interested in purchasing and in under 10 minutes, we can tell them whether they are approved for the requested vehicle financing or not. If not, we can offer them alternative options to fit their budget."
