The Volkswagen Polo Vivo and VW Polo were again the two best-selling passenger cars in South Africa.
For November 2019, the Vivo registered a sales figure of 2439 units, and the Polo 2038 units.
The new Renault Kwid found favour among 1508 owners. Ford’s EcoSport and Figo registered 1360 and 1002 units respectively, followed by the Toyota Corolla/Quest (894 units) in sixth place.
In seventh place is the Toyota Etios with 858 units, just edging out the Volkswagen T-Cross (842 units). The Kia Picanto sold 733 units in ninth place, followed by the VW Polo sedan on 711 units.
Interestingly, two regular top ten contenders have not made the cut this month: the Toyota Fortuner and Hyundai i10. While the numbers these two vehicles registered are by no means a small feat, it is substantially lower than the more-than-a-thousand units they normally achieve.
An honourable mention, then, to the Fortuner with a sales figure of 664 units, and the i10 on 575 units.
