South Africa has several vehicles built locally at various manufacturing plants nationwide. Now, Stellantis recently announced it would be establishing a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Coega in the Eastern Cape, and they'll be adding another locally-built bakkie to SA's homegrown vehicles.

Toyota builds the country's best-selling vehicle, the Hilux, along with its ever-popular Corolla Cross and Corolla sedan models at its Prospecton Plant in KwaZulu-Natal. Ford builds its Ranger bakkie - along with the Volkswagen Amarok at the Silverton Plant outside Pretoria.
