Nissan teases new Qashqai ahead of reveal

• Nissan will unveil its latest Qashqai on 18 February.

• The third-generation compact SUV features a new 22cm touch screen infotainment system.

• Nissan posted a teaser clip on social media of the Qashqai this week. 


Nissan confirmed it will reveal its new Qashqai on 18 February 2021, via live stream on the company's YouTube channel. 

This week the Japanese carmaker published a 15-second teaser clip on Twitter showcasing several exterior elements as well as the new 22cm touch screen infotainment system. 

The third-generation model has grown by 35mm longer and 30mm wide compared to the previous model.

The Qashqai has been a solid performer for Nissan in the compact SUV segment and the latest model is set to boast better headroom, knee room and shoulder room thanks to clever packaging. 

In terms of engine options, the company is likely to use a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol unit, with a diesel powertrain unconfirmed. Gearbox options are likely to be CVT and a manual derivative. 

Nissan says its " pioneering crossover will set a new standard for the segment with appealing design, advanced technology and dynamic driving." 

Senior executives and product experts will provide insight on the the exterior design as well as the interior and convenient features. Nissan will debut its e-POWER technology  for the time on the Qashqai.

The reveal will take place from 12:00pm to 12:20pm (Central African Time) on 18 February.
