Early spring days in the Overberg don't come better than this, I muse to myself while bowling through the nascent green wheat fields and dazzling yellow canola blooms. Squadrons of birds take to the skies left and right, mongooses scuttle across our path and the earthy honeyed notes of canola waft through our helmets as we set off on the "hip-town double", a 225km round trip from Bot River, which takes in Napier and Greyton.
