If the Ford Puma pounced, then the Territory must surely be eyeing a chunk of market share. Announced by Ford South Africa earlier this week in January, the Territory revives a nameplate that South Africans will remember from the mid-2000s, including the pumped-up Territory ST.
When it arrives in Q2 of 2024, the Territory will carry heavy expectations. As it slots in above Puma and below Everest, it'll enter the fiercely-contested SUV category occupied by the Toyota RAV4, Volkswagen Tiguan and Haval H6, to name a few.
Conceived as a joint venture with JMC, the new Ford Territory looks to bring tremendous value to the segment with a starting price of R610,000.
