Hot on the heels of the all-new Ranger's reveal, Ford revealed a camouflaged model of its next-generation Everest. The SUV is based on the Ranger bakkie, but offers seven seats and a more family-orientated approach to life.
The Everest has entered the final phase of its global testing program and is dressed in a hue designed by Lee Imrie, exterior designer at Ford Australia. Though one can see what the next Everest will look like, key visual design cues will remain hidden until 2022's first quarter when the SUV is scheduled for reveal.
Imrie says: "We created an artistic pattern that hints at adventure. The camouflage consists of a series of rectangles tilted at a 45-degree angle that were inspired by mountain peaks. We make sure the vehicle design remains hidden by designing the camouflage pieces in isolation. This means when it's applied to the vehicle, it's a completely random pattern."
Ford is yet to announce the engine and transmission line-up for the all-new Everest, but one can assume that the drivetrain options available on the next Ranger will be carried over to the SUV.
