Spinners is a new Showmax drama series that can be viewed on Wednesdays from 8 November 2023. The mini-series has eight episodes.

Spinners, directed by Jaco Bouwer, is the third co-production between Showmax and CANAL+.

The series' name comes from the motorsport spinning, which involves cars driving at high speeds in small circles (also referred to as donuts).

The series follows a 17-year-old driver named Ethan who is working for a local gang in the Cape Town area. Ethan discovers the motorsport spinning, which could provide him a way out of his current life.

The series stars Arendsvlei's Cantona James, Chelsea Thomas, Dillon Windvogel and Elton Landrew.

The first episode of Spinners debuted at the Silwerskerm Film Festival on Friday. The series is rated 16 LVPD and features dialogue spoken in English and Afrikaans.

The first trailer for the series has been released on YouTube.
