Honda Quest True Adventure is jokingly referred to as Honda's best-kept secret for the lack of public awareness of previous events. It illustrates the point perfectly if you don't know what that is.
Quest is an adventure challenge designed to give motorcycle enthusiasts a once-in-a-lifetime experience with what The Winged H calls 'the ultimate adventure motorcycle' – the highly-respected Honda Africa Twin.
To increase awareness for the 2023 edition of this gruelling test of riders against nature, Honda SA is on a mission to bring, quite literally, the event to the doorsteps of the majority of local adventure enthusiasts with a national roadshow called Road to Quest.

The roadshow comprises four fully kitted Africa Twins, which will be made available to test ride at various Honda dealerships for a week each, culminating with advanced sessions in key locations such as ADA Training and Outdoor Centre near Johannesburg.
Riaan Fourie, Honda SA's Head of Motorcycles, says: "It's not often that the chance to ride a Honda Africa Twin in its ideal environment comes along, and with Honda Road to Quest, we will be bringing true adventure riding to a town near you."
Fourie says that Quest is not a race or a rally; it is an adventure to self-discovery, designed to test human endurance and adaptability. You need not be a hardened adventure motorcycle enthusiast to participate.
"We are looking for people who prefer to choose to take the road less travelled. Those who are resourceful, independent, yet mindful of their fellow human beings – Honda Quest is for you."
Honda invites licensed riders to experience first-hand why the Africa Twin is such a respected adventure bike. You will also get the opportunity to meet past Quest participants who share their experiences and refine your riding skills under the guidance of trained off-road riding instructors.
The road show's first stop will be at Honda Wing Randburg (Bikers Warehouse) from 15 August, and the first customer event will take place at ADA on 3 September.
Follow Honda Wing SA on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for details about where the next stop will be.
