A life-sized Renault Formula 1 car made out of 313 000 Lego bricks was sold for R1-million at an auction in Paris.

The black and yellow liveried car was modelled using a metal frame as a base and also comes fitted with four real-life Pirelli tyres.

At first glance, it looks very much like the real thing with so much attention to detail found in the cockpit and sticker decals on the body.

All proceeds of the auction go to UNICEF.

Daniel Ricciardo or Nico Hulkenberg wouldn't look out of place in this toy version.
