• Toyota sold the most number of vehicles in June 2020.
• The VW Group sold 4448 units.
• Kia rounds out the top 10 with 941 units sold.
June 2020 saw a welcome upturn in new vehicle sales, even though the year-to-date figures are almost 35% down over the same period in 2019 (January - June).
However, 2020's figures thus far were severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic that's swept across the globe, and it also affected economic operations in South Africa. March and April sales figures were poor, but in May an upturn coincided with the implementation of lockdown level 3.
This improvement spilled over into June, with a reported 31 867 new vehicles being bought.
