WATCH: Here's why we turn down the volume down to 'drive better'

Have you noticed that when you have to park into a tight space, or have to reverse out of a driveway, the volume is usually turned down automatically, or you'll find yourself putting the music softer.

Or, you inform your passengers to pipe down because you need to concentrate?

When you're driving down the highway and feel lost or unsure of what exit to take, instead of reaching for a map you turn down the music instead.
