BMW M3, Honda S2000... which modern classic would you buy?

Millenials, those born between 1980 and 2000, are perhaps in the market for a car they idolised growing up. Two cars that I always wanted to drive when I was a teenager was the BMW M3 (E46) and Honda's S2000. 

Both revved to stratospheric levels and made gorgeous noises. The M3 used a 3.2-litre inline six-cylinder engine producing around 252kW and the Honda packed 177kW from a 2.0-litre VTEC engine in its first iteration, that figure climbed to 184kW in later models.

Both these models gained loyal followers and while there were more M3s imported to Mzansi, the S2000 however is more exclusive. They were also, unequivocally, driver's cars and some might say the last of the truly exciting performance cars. 

The M3 was sold in South Africa in coupe and cabriolet form was the last non-turbocharged six-cylinder engine used in an M3. Honda is unlikely to build another version of its S2000 again, pushing up its exclusivity.
