"The idea is intelligent and so is the future of Electric Vehicles," says iEV1 GmbH  as it hopes to launch its new iEV X Series of vehicles.

The electric vehicles feature, says the company, a "futuristic robotic body platform that changes size based on your needs." 

The concept car is capable of shifting its structure to accommodate more passengers or increase load capacity.

iEV X Series Flexible Robotic Platform dimensions:
Single Passenger: Length 160cm, width 78cm and height 135cm  
Two passengers: Length robotically changes to 190cm
More passengers/cargo: Length changes from 190-220cm

The company said: "With this vehicle having a room and standard seat protected by chassis while having an incredible record breaking width of 78 cm, you have the convenience of having comfort and stability of a car without fear of changed weather, environment, or using a helmet for safety as you are protected  completely by body. Anyone can drive iEV X safely, comfortably while saving the environment, space, and change the future of mobility."
