Euro NCAP has announced its 'Best of 2018' class - the safest cars tested by the organisation in the past 12 months.

The Lexus ES, Hyundai Nexo and Mercedes-Benz A-Class are some of the safest vehicles in their respective segments, each earning outstanding safety ratings.

Buyer persuasion

These crash test ratings also serve as an important barometer for people when making their decision to buy a new set of wheels.
