The mighty R8 first made its appearance in 2006, then sporting a V8 engine, but has since beefed up under the bonnet with more power and technology.
It has also undergone visual enhancements with sharp lines to match the aggressive growl of the mid-mounted engine.
Raw V10 power
Power comes courtesy of 5.2-litre V10 engine boasting 456kW and 580Nm, the very same powerplant found in the Lamborghini Huracan. It has a top speed of 331km/h and runs to 100km/h in 3.1-seconds.

According to Audi South Africa, the Audi R8 is actually due for a facelift some time next year. Local pricing starts from R3-million.
