The Los Angeles motor show is probably one of the most popular auto shows in the world, and of course, an onslaught of new models have made their debut on the global stage.
The likes of BMW, Kia and Mercedes-Benz have all debuted new examples to be launched to global markets in the new year.
And of course, there are a bevy of new models that will be heading our way, some as early as the second quarter of 2019.
BMW's flagship seven-seater X7 SUV will be making its way to South Africa shores from March next year.
It will be available in two models - M50d and xDrive30d - with a price tag of R1 862 308 and R1 562 849 respectively.
Both models come equipped with 3.0 litre turbodiesel engines with power outputs of 195kW and 294kW.
Mazda has been keeping the public waiting with their all-new '3' model that officially made its debut in LA. Mazda South Africa says the new model will arrive locally during the second quarter of 2019.

The new Porsche 911 shows off the next generation of flat-six turbocharged engines has been further developed and is more powerful than ever before, with 331kW in the S models.
Porsche South Africa says the new 911 Carerra will arrive around May next year. The S model is priced at R 1 708 000 and the 4S will retail from R 1 797 000 inclusive of a 3-year or 100 000km Driveplan.
Porsche says the forced inductions are now more fuel efficient thanks to improved injection process and a new layout for the turbochargers and charge air cooling system.
The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission has also been tweaked.
The turbocharged flat-six engine of the 911 Carrera S and 911 Carrera 4S now produces 331kW; 911 Carrera S: This corresponds to an increase of 22kW compared with the previous model.
The top speeds are now 308 km/h (911 Carrera S) and 306 km/h for the all-wheel-drive version.
The new 2019 Toyota Prius also made its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, marking further advances in the driving capability and appeal of the world’s most popular self-charging hybrid car.
Toyota South Africa confirms the new version will also arrive during the second quarter of 2019.
