REVIEW: This little Ford Figo is big on interior space

Wheels24's Leigh-Ann Londt hasn't had enough of the Ford Figo 1.5 Titanium and focuses on the interior this time round in the long-term test vehicle.

From the time that I had first driven the little Figo the first time a few months ago, I missed it terribly. Not only was it a fun vehicle which suited my personality, but it's also fuel efficient. This time, I want to focus on the interior.

The Titanium model invites you to a dark charcoal dash and doors. With a number of standard features, it is safe to say that this vehicle is user-friendly too.

Lets start with the steering-wheel

The steering-wheel has buttons enabling to you skip through music, and to answer a call hands-free as you make your way to your destination without the need to look at the high mounted 6.5-inch infotainment screen. This way you are keeping your eyes on the road and always remaining focused.

With the user-friendly infotainment system also comes Bluetooth, USB, Aux radio that is easily accessible. Although I still wish the satnav and audible sensors for the rear parking camera came with it as standard features.

Below the user-friendly infotainment system is the facia that is also within easy reach while driving; it includes audio and climate controls.

Space

The Figo has loads of room for your passengers to all sit comfortably. For some, the boot space may be limited but for a small family it is a generous amount of space if packed wisely.

In the driver and passenger door pockets there's space for different-sized water bottles. Between the front seats there's an extra bottle-holder and two cup holders, along with extra space for house keys, a pack of tissues or anything needed to grab easily.

Driving

Once you start driving the car alerts will sound an alert if you forgot to put your seatbelt on, and also all the doors will lock automatically. There are electric windows all round, and if you are travelling with a young child, there's a window locking button along the drivers side door, as well as child door locks.

Ford's Figo continues to impress me with its safety features, comfort and fuel efficiency. I love this this little car as if it were my own car. I would recommend it to young people within my age group (early 20's), a small family or even an elderly couple to get around.
