A devil's play thing? The new 1103kW Bugatti 'Chiron Noire' special edition is not of this world

Bugatti has become one of the world's most desirable brands with the likes of the Veyron, Divo and Chiron amongst its ranks. They've now added a special edition 'Chiron Noire' to its line-up as a tribute and a more affordable version of the 'La Voiture Noire' - the world's most expensive car.

It doesn't take long to notice what the theme is here. Everything from the Caractère wheels, front spoiler and radiator grille are all draped in matt black finishes. And, that's the only option you have, Black. The four tailpipes of the titanium exhaust system also get the black treatment, as do parts of the engine cover.

This 'cheapie' starts from $3.3-million. And, did we mention that everything comes in black only?

Devilishly fast

This carbon fibre-laden monster is not something to be played with. Positioned in its deep echelons is a 8.0-litre, 16-cylinder engine with a mammoth 1103kW and 1600Nm.

Embroidered 'Noire' inscriptions are found on the inlays of the centre console as well as black headrests that enhance the already dark theme. There is also an additional carbon badge inlaid in the centre armrest.

It's production is limited to 20 vehicles and will go on sale globally from next year.
