Though the Toyota Hilux ended July 2019 as the best-selling bakkie in SA, its sales figure was substantially lower than the previous month.
Though it retained its position as the country’s favourite bakkie, its sales figure of 2996 units is someway off the 4770 sold just a moth prior.
Tough month
Still, it managed to once again beat the Ford Ranger, who slips into second place with 2217 units sold. The Nissan NP200 again showed why it’s not to be taken lightly and slots into third place with 1730 units sold.
Isuzu’s D-Max/KB sold the fourth most bakkies last month with 1723 sales, followed by the Nissan NP300/Hardbody on 1160 units. In sixth place is the Mahindra Scorpio Pik-up with 287 sales, ahead of the Toyota Land Cruiser bakkie with 263 units.
The Volkswagen Amarok sits pretty in eighth place with a sales figure of 252 units, ahead of the GWM Steed on 188 units sold.
As has become customary, the Nissan Navara rounds out the top ten with 90 units sold.
