Figo, EcoSport, Ranger Raptor... More cool Ford models headed for SA
Ford launched its new Fiesta in Johannesburg with a fresh design, upgraded technology and enhanced suspension.
The new hatchback forms part of a new model assault by Ford SA as the automaker is set to spruce its most of its local line-up.
The new Fiesta is available in two derivatives (Trend and Titanium) can be powered by with two engine options (1.0 EcoBoost, 1.5 TDCi) and mated to either a six-speed manual or auto. Prices start from R261 900 for the 1.0 EcoBoost Trend manual to R310 600 for the top-of-the-range Titanium auto.
Earlier in February, Ford unveiled its very first Ranger Raptor in Bankgkok, Thailand, a global debut event. The international launch will take place during the third quarter.
The Ranger Raptor will be built at the Silverton Plant in Pretoria and is set to be launched locally in 2019.
While the Raptor bakkie certainly is exciting news, Ford SA announced three new models will be launched during the second quarter of 2018.
Both the EcoSport and Fiesta were revealed globally earlier in 2017, however information (and images) of its new Figo are still under wraps.
Other models set to arrive locally is the new Focus (Q4) and an expanded Kuga range (Q3).
Wheels24's Janine Van der Post will also be driving the all-new Focus later in July at the international launch in France. The Focus will be launched locally in Q4.
