Ever wondered what it takes for a factory team, like Porsche, to run racing cars in back-to-back events?

Well, this brilliantly filmed documentary shows viewers every facet of the work, preparation and racing that went into racing the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Nurburgring 24 Hours races.

Sensory assault

The 87th running of the Le Mans 24 Hours took place on 15 and 16 June 2019 at the Circuit de la Sarthe at Le Mans, France. More than 250 000 people attended the race, the most famous on the world endurance championship calendar.

Porsche, no longer competing in the LMP1 category, had all their eggs in the LMGTE Pro class and their number 93 car only qualified in fourth place, behind Aston Martin, Ford and Corvette. Watch how the team battled in France and then shifted their focus to the Nurburgring race for another assault on the senses.

The documentary gives motorsport fans, and perhaps even non-fans, the feeling of heading into a race. As one of the factory drivers says: "When you're doing a night stint at maybe 2am, you are driving around, and there are fireworks, there are campfires, you can smell the sausages cooking. You know you can even feel your eyes sometimes stinging from the smokes from the fires."

The video caption says: In 2019, the world of motorsports saw something it had rarely seen before; the two toughest endurance events in motor racing took place back-to-back: the 24h of Le Mans and the 24h of the Nürburgring. ENDURANCE is the story of the Porsche GT Team that took on this double challenge.
