SEE: More fuel station visits, less distance traveled - Poll results

A study shows that South African motorists are reducing overall travel distance due to fuel price hikes however, the number of station visits have increased.

It makes sense that more South African motorists fill up with smaller amounts albeit only enough for their next destination because of high fuel prices. This is not only occurring in SA but, all over the world.

Our readers have voted on how many times they visit a filling station a month and more than 6% says they refuel more than 10 times, that is an average of 3 times a week, while 15% says they visit the petrol station between five to ten times a month.
