As South African motorists brace for fuel price hikes in the coming months we look at petrol prices in Southern African countries.
The average price of petrol around the world is $1.10 according to globalfuelprices.com.
However, there is substantial difference in these prices among countries depending on taxes and economic conditions.
In Southern Africa, Zimbabwean motorists are the ones feeling the most pain at the pumps, paying nearly triple for the price of fuel compared to their neighbours - $3.34 per litre.
