If for some reason Formula 1 should not work out for him, Daniel Ricciardo should really consider taking up a career in comedy.
The Renault driver is currently in his home country, Australia, where he is passing time on a farm. Presumably, his farm.
The Aussie is well-known for his banter and wicked sense of humour, and his Instagram account is pure gold for anyone who wants a good laugh.
'They could jump me'
In a recent video, Ricciardo takes it upon himself to impersonate wildlife television presenter, David Attenborough. While we are in stitches, Ricciardo nailed it. Perfectly!
"Here we are," he begins. "Sunny Australia. The harsh outback of the mother land."
In a dramatic turn of events, Ricciardo points to a flock of sheep who are, according to him, in mating season. One has to tread carefully, says Daniel Attenborough, because "they could jump me."
A very important 2020 season
Ricciardo is in the final year of his Renault contract and will be looking to secure a competitive seat for 2021.
If Renault can’t convince the Australian to sign another contract, teams like Ferrari, and maybe even Mercedes, could be looking to acquire his services. Ricciardo has been linked with a move to Ferrari in the past, but he is a more likely candidate to replace Sebastian Vettel, should the latter decide to leave the team.

Ricciardo enjoyed success whilst at Red Bull Racing, but tensioned relationships with management and Max Verstappen forced his hand to sign with Renault for 2019/20. Ricciardo is one of the great talents in the sport, and a driver one hope will one day taste and experience championship glory.
If not with Renault, perhaps with a competitive team in the very near future.
