SA's Brad Binder looks forward to the Italian GP

"The Gran Premio d’Italia has been good to me down the years," says Brad Binder as he looks ahead to this coming weekend’s Italian GP at Mugello.

"If it’s June, then there are few prettier places to be than in Tuscany in Italy and at one of my favourite weekends of the year on one of my favourite tracks."

"It’s awesome," he adds. "Just so different - it’s quite narrow and really fast and flowing, and goes through the trees in a valley."

According to Brad he’s not the only one who enjoys it, which always makes it a super competitive race: "It is one of the older tracks on the circuit, having been around since the early 70s, and from what I have read, it has pretty much stayed the same. The crowds are awesome here. The Italians have such a deep love for the sport and such a rich history in MotoGP. It’s a great place to race."

Brad has won at Mugello before and Red Bull KTM Ajo has proud history there: "I won here in 2016 and my teammate, Miguel Oliveira, won here in 2015. Last year here was my first race back after breaking my arm. It was really difficult. I had a lot of pain, but at the end of the day, I started in 23rd position and ended up in 10th. It was a positive start."
