Cape Town - Japan’s popular compact car manufacturer has announced that it will introduce a Special Edition Suzuki Swift in South Africa in limited numbers.
The new Special Edition Swift 1.2 RS is scheduled to arrive at dealerships in February priced at R184 800.
'Go-faster bits'
The SRS is based on the manual version of the 1.2 GL. This means that it is equipped with creature comforts such as power windows, a radio/CD player with Bluetooth connectivity, aircon and a multi-function steering wheel.
To set it apart from the the GL, they've added front and rear spoilers and side skirts to visually lower the vehicle. Furthermore there are custom dark machined rims and a spoiler fitted flush to the upper lip of the rear hatch door.
There are special dark blue sporty decals and RS lettering, which is mirrored in the front spoiler and specially painted side mirror covers. All RS models feature the same metallic white colour.
63kW
Inside the 1.2 RS, Suzuki has added custom seat covers, two airbags from the GL's specification remain.
The automaker says the 1.2 litre 16-valve engine has the 5.3 litres/100 km. This engine delivers 63 kW and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The RS is sold with a two-year or 30 000 km service plan and a 100 000km warranty.
