WRC drops Poland Rally due to out-of-control fans

Poland - Turkey is set to replace Poland on the 2018 World Rally Championship calendar due to security issues posed by fans plaguing the Polish leg of the series, Motorsport.com reported

The axing comes after repeated security breaches by fans who endanger themselves and drivers by moving close to the action, often in the path of racing vehicles.

According to the Drive.com, Rally Poland organisers failed to comply with FIA safety regulations.

Motorsport's world governing body the FIA took the decision to replace Poland with Turkey with announcement to be made at World Motorsport Council meeting in September.

It will be the first time since 2010 that a WRC event will be held in Turkey.
