Cape Town - In February 2017 racing legend Gavin Ramsay died in a tragic accident at the Killarney racetrack in Cape Town.
It was at the annual Passion for Speed International Historic race that Ramsay lost control of his bike after slipping on oil on the track left by a previous incident.
Remembering the legend
Motorsport journalist and photographer Reynard Gelderblom said: I've got to know Gavin during the last two years of working very closely with the family. Beyond the legendary champion was a man with the biggest heart and sense of humor, a man who would go out of his way for anyone. He was passionate about his racing. Gavin died on-track doing what he loved the most - I think we all can take comfort in that.
