Cape Town - It’s only 50 days until the World RX of South Africa comes to Killarney International Raceway in Cape Town.
Wheel-to-wheel heats
The World RX of South Africa will see the world’s best rallycross drivers in their RX Supercars, delivering wheel-to-wheel heats and a final on a specially constructed, mixed asphalt-and-dirt surface.
Sweden’s Johan Kristoffersson will arrive in South Africa with the World RX title already in the bag after his win in Latvia last weekend but there’ll still be plenty to race for in the final championship event of the season with such a high class field, including Sebastian Loeb, Mattias Ekstrom and Ken Block.
Former world champion Petter Solberg of Norway will be hoping to make the trip to Cape Town after sustaining injuries in a crash in Riga last Friday.
The historic Killarney circuit hasn’t hosted such a group of superstar international drivers since the likes of Stirling Moss and Jim Clark raced there in the 1960’s and new, enhanced spectator viewing areas have been built specially for the occasion. There’s also a full programme of entertainment and action lined up in addition to the rallycross showpiece.
Some categories of passes have sold out but tickets for the World RX of SA from November 10-12, 2017 are still available at www.ticketpro.co.za.
