Cape Town - South Africa is known for so much more than beautiful cities, Table Mountain, biltong and braaivleis. We have a vast heritage of racing talent and hosting amazing events such as Formula 1 races.
SA has many talented women in motorsport.
Meet Clare Vale. A wife and mother who started racing V8 cars at the age of 49. Now she's also one of the top female racers in South Africa. In 2007, Vale became the first women racer to participate in the premier national WesBank V8 Supercar series, and she also made V8 supercar history in 2010 when she made podium with third place.
These are just a few female racers in SA; VW Cup racer Tasmin Pepper, super biker riders Janine Mitchell, Savannah Woodward, Zante Otto, international go-kart racer Fabienne Lanz, car-spinner Stacey-Lee May, and drifter Malikah Daniels, athlete stunt driver Firdous Asmodien and historics racer Paige Lindernberg.
There are also several others such as V8 racer Lonika Maartens, SA rally navigator Elevene Coetzee, gymkhana queen Nashrene Schloss, former biker Jeanette Kok-Kritzinger, or the likes of rally navigator Cindi Harding and rally driver Helene Griffiths.
