Texas - Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton remains in the title fight with a dominating drive at the 2016 United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.

Hamilton, who led from pole position, dominated throughout the race, eventually leading rivals by more than 12 seconds mid-way through the Texas race.

His victory marks his fourth win in five seasons at the Circuit of the Americas and his first from a pole position start in Texas. His wins ends a dry spell dating back to the German GP in July. Hamilton's team mate Nico Rosberg continues to lead the title race by 26 points with three races left.

Rosberg finished in second place followed by Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo in third.

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel finished in fourth.

A late tussle with Williams' Felipe Massa and overtaking Toro Rosso's Carlos Sainz saw McLaren's Fernando Alonso finishing in fifth place.

Mechanical woes

Red Bull's Max Verstappen's race was cut short due to mechanical issues. The youngster lost power and could be heard over the team radio stating "something hit the engine". He was forced to limp his car off track.
